What are the Benefits of Rain for Mental Health?
Rain has several mental benefits. It casts a soothing and comforting effect on people - aiding relaxation and lowering stress - and takes them to a slow and relaxing pace of life. It may also produce a cosy and meditative environment, which is great for self-reflection and mindfulness. Rainy days make some people slow down, engage in self-care activities such as reading or watching movies, and take a break from their daily routine.
However, the situation is different for people having different mood swings with rain. They see it as an obstacle to their work, and the muddy puddles dampen their spirits, ruining their mood.
For me, rain is a breather - a change. When a rain droplet clatters the roof of my house or taps against the window, it drives me crazy to feel the sensation of the droplet on the back of my hand.
And the story doesn't end here. The rain pours down, and my heart dances like a peacock, celebrating the life-giving drops with every beat, alive and joyous in the storm.
